This year’s recipient is Marissa Pearson and family. Marissa was diagnosed with colorectal cancer 7 months ago and has turned into a fight for her life.
Marissa is active in the outdoors and enjoys shooting her bow recreationally as well as getting behind the trigger of several different firearms in the backyard. They share a passion of the outdoor experiences of camping, fishing, shooting, hiking and have taken their daughter along to ingrain her into all things outdoors. The last several months though, Marissa has struggled to have the energy or ability to be involved do anything outside of their home. Some days are better than others, but fighting daily and spending as much time as possible with their family.
A note from Levi and Marissa: Roughly 3 weeks before Marissa and Levi were to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary, she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The family’s entire world was turned upside down. They are 7 months in and, though it has been their worst nightmare brought to life, they would have never gotten this far without their faith in God and the never ceasing support from family, friends, and employers. Though this has turned into a fight for her life, they continue to find things to be thankful for and pray and believe for a complete healing. Levi couldn’t be more proud of Marissa’s never ceasing will to fight and to maintain a positive attitude through the pain and lack of strength.
From Levi’s Bowtech Team: Levi has been an amazing part of the international archery community. He fulfills the needs of Bowtech staff shooters all over the globe, day after day. Now we are banding together and asking for a little help to flow his way. If you can, please make a donation of any amount. He has been by Marissa’s side non-stop, everyday, and the family can use our help. Thank you.
