Job Tile: Canadian Inside Sales Representative

Purpose of the Job:

Manage, coordinate and increase Canadian Sales.

General Summary of the Job:

The incumbent is responsible for managing, coordinating, and increasing Canadian sales which includes order management, attending industry Trade Shows, dealer and box store events (as required), working with and traveling with the Canadian sales force and dealing directly with Canadian Dealers.

Core Tasks and Duties/Performance Expectations:

  • Achieve sales goals as defined by the National Sales Manager;
  • Manage, train and travel with the Canadian Rep groups;
  • Manage and organize the Canadian buying groups;
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Dealers and Industry contacts Nationwide;
  • Receive and process orders through the Canadian Rep Groups and Dealer direct;
  • Provide the highest level of customer service and technical expertise;
  • Directly maintains Sales Territory for Canada and oversees the rep territories by maintaining constant communication and assisting with the  generation of Sales;
  • Build and manage dealer relationships;
  • Keeping abreast on product restrictions, seasons and laws Nationwide;
  • Plan and represent Excalibur at trade shows;
  • Train sales professionals for proper product demonstrations and knowledge;
  • Enforce MSRP at retail;
  • Maintain yearly pricing structures and programs in collaboration with Senior Management;
  • Collaborate in new product development;
  • Support the sales team with U.S. and Export dealers and consumer calls;
  • Monitor Canadian Advertising;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience;
  • Must have a minimum 5 years of previous sales experience;
  • High level of energy and initiative
  • Professional and accountable;
  • Strong analytic and strategic skills;
  • Great attention to detail;
  • Strong presentation, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; 
  • Computer literate in MS Word , Excel & PowerPoint and ERP systems;
  • Ability to effectively manage your time and work against business deadlines;
  • Strong understanding of retail practices and overall business orientation;
  • Exceptional follow through and organizational skills;
  • Ability to define problems and recommend sound solutions;
  • Willingness to work long hours as required;
  • Extensive travel throughout Canada with the ability to travel to the US;
  • Exposure to outdoor industry an asset.

Description of the Working Conditions:

80% office environment.  Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
20% travel and trade shows
Must be willing to work any shift, extended hours and weekends.

Job Title: Design Engineer

General Summary of the Job:

The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing new products and providing support to existing products.  The incumbent will also be responsible for providing technical support to other departments and will work closely with the Operations Team and the Sales and Marketing Team.

Core Tasks and Duties/Performance Expectations:

  • Collaborate with others to design new and improve existing products
  • Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
  • Review equipment selections, perform preliminary engineering calculations and develop preliminary designs
  • Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings and graphic work produced for the team
  • Ensure that the project needs are met as per the project schedule and within the established budgets
  • Schedule and perform validation testing
  • Hold design review meetings
  • Manage engineering changes
  • Communicate and work effectively with work-team members and other members of the company
  • Work with a team of multi-disciplined engineers
  • Understand and comply with the worker responsibilities and rights as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OH&S) of Ontario, as well as, the Company's safety rules/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 3-5 years of hands on experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
  • Team player and able to work well with all departments
  • Several years of experience with Solidworks and Delcam/Mastercam
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Previous exposure to Sage X3 or other ERP systems would be an asset
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in completing FEAs
  • Familiarity with operations of CNC Milling machines - vertical and horizontal
  • Familiar with GD&T
  • Proven troubleshooting and decision-making skills
  • Able to travel to the US

Description of the Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.  Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and work boots.  Loose clothing and jewelry are not permitted.

Job Title: Senior Sales Administrator

General Summary of the Job:
The Sales Administration Manager actively participates in the administration and communication of sales activities.  Functions include customer support, contract administration, assisting with the creation of programs and pricing and creating various reports on a daily basis.  The candidate will be a hands-on self-starter with outstanding organizational and analytical skills and must be comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal day to day activities.

 

Core Tasks and Duties/Performance Expectations:

  • Setup, update and complete all required documents for new and existing customers and work with other departments to obtain and/or provide information to complete the setup and update process
  • Manage and maintain existing contracts and amendments and create new contracts;
  • Produce a wide variety of reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis;
  • Respond to customer request for price quoting and deliver quotations in a timely manner;
  • Coordinate and respond to customer complaints, problems and requests for information;
  • Input orders;
  • Back up and support for Inside and Outside Sales Team;
  • Interface with Production, Shipping, Invoicing and the Credit Department as required;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary Education preferably in Business Administration (Communications, Marketing or Office Administration)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer support and contract management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • Exceptional skills working with Excel are mandatory
  • Previous exposure to Sage X3 or other ERP systems would be an asset
  • Experience dealing with major retailers and prior vendor contract exposure is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and solve problems and work with minimum supervision

Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Accounts Receivable Clerk

General Summary of the Job:
The Administrative Assistant/Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support, file management, processing and monitoring of payments and expenditures, preparing reports, reconciliations and receptionist coverage.

Core Tasks and Duties/Performance Expectations:

  • Provides assistance with reception duties by receiving in-coming telephone calls, screening telephone calls, routing incoming calls, and greeting and directing in-person visits;
  • Complete filing for A/R, A/P and Sales;
  • Prepare daily banking deposit and applicable supporting documentation;
  • Assemble invoices for mailing, faxing or distributing;
  • Reconcile shipping invoices (UPS, Near North; Canpar; Global Payments; SPS and EDI);
  • Assist in preparation of monthly commission reports;
  • Process customer invoices;
  • Answer any client inquiries regarding payment;
  • Assist with the collections and reconciliations for A/R portfolio;
  • Monitoring outstanding receivable balances and aging reports;
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies on accounts;
  • Maintain ongoing and timely communication and follow up with clients;
  • Liaise with sales and other departments to resolve specific customer issues;
  • Track and analyze customer programs;
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Controller;
  • Month end and year end duties;
  • Provide administrative and office support to team members as required;
  • Meet defined department goals; other administrative duties as assigned.
