                                                        Marketing Specialist 
Excalibur Crossbow is seeking a Marketing Specialist to be based out of our Kitchener, Ontario facility. The Marketing Specialist reports to the President of Excalibur and the Director of Marketing for Bowtech (our U.S. parent company) and works collaboratively with our Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams in Canada and the U.S.
We pride ourselves on producing a crossbow of exceptional quality that is designed by crossbow hunters for use by crossbow hunters. We’re looking for a candidate who shares our passion. The ideal candidate will combine a bow hunting hobby with first rate marketing skills and experience.
 
Specific Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Develop, refresh and maintain marketing collateral
  • Compose brochures, catalogues, manuals, newsletters, website copy, print ads, video scripts and social media communication
  • Shoot and edit video content for use in social media postings, television commercials, trade shows, etc.
  • Coordinate outside services: manage marketing projects assigned to outside services (television commercials, print ads, catalogue, DVDs)
  • Manage multi media advertising calendar, coordinate the distribution of marketing collateral, manage print and television advertising, and manage print and television media relationships
  •  Leverage social media and the company web site to generate interest in Excalibur products and drive sales
  • Collaborate with Product Development team; develop packaging for new products
  • Develop promotional items and source suppliers for production of promotional items
  • Establish the annual roster of industry, consumer and dealer trade shows that Excalibur will participate in; personally represent Excalibur at approximately 15 trade shows in Canada and the United States per year
  • Assist in driving sales: establish and maintain strong dealer and customer relationships, support the Canadian and U.S. sales teams
 
Qualifications include:
  • College diploma or university degree in marketing or communications, together with a minimum of 2 years marketing experience. Sales experience an asset
  • Knowledge of the outdoor sporting industry and product experience are an asset and strongly preferred
  • Ability to write effectively in plain language for a variety of delivery methods (print, web, video, etc.)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with social media tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Point and Excel
  • Ability to travel to the United States is required
  • Ability to shoot and edit video content would be an asset

U.S. Sales Representative
 
Excalibur Crossbow is seeking a U.S. Sales Representative to be based out of our Kitchener, Ontario facility. The US Sales Representative reports to the President of Excalibur and the Director of Sales for Bowtech (our U.S. parent company) and works collaboratively with our Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams in Canada and the U.S.
We pride ourselves on producing a crossbow of exceptional quality that is designed by crossbow hunters for use by crossbow hunters. Our new U.S. Sales Representative needs to share our passion. The ideal candidate will combine a bow hunting hobby with proven sales ability and relationship building skills.
 
Specific Responsibilities of the role include:
 
  • Drive U.S. sales of Excalibur and Stryker crossbow brands
  • Crossbow specialist for Bowtech: provide training and answer technical questions for Bowtech sales team, dealers, retailers and customers
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with U.S. dealers, customers and industry contacts
  • Create promotional programs and monthly specials
  • Maintain pricing structures and programs in collaboration with President and Director of Sales
  • General daily and ad hoc sales reports for review with management and presentation at sales team meetings
  • Support U.S. outside sales team: maintain regular communication to inform, motivate and generate interest in our products; accompany members of outside sales team on visits to dealers and retailers; assist in resolving customer issues including warranty, outstanding shipments, credit applications
  • Excalibur liaison with Bowtech sales team; attend bi-annual sales meetings at Bowtech
  • Together with the Marketing Specialist, identify and schedule industry, consumer and dealer trade shows for company participation, coordinate staffing of trade shows and represent Excalibur and Stryker brands at trade shows (personal attendance at approximately 15 shows per year)
 
Qualifications include:
 
  • College diploma or university degree in marketing or communications an asset
  • Minimum 2 years selling experience and a proven ability to deliver sales
  • Knowledge of the outdoor sporting industry is preferred; product experience is essential
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: must be able to learn technical information and explain it to others
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Point and Excel
  • Ability to travel to the United States (air and ground travel) is required; regular travel to the U.S. is part of the role
