Re: Is anyone deer hunting at 100+ yards?

Out west with my 300 win mag, I whack them to 300 yards. In S Ontario, anything is toast within 200 yards in any firearm season. Bow? 40 yards, but that's me. I know a couple of people going well beyond (I won't say now far) on deer and moose. I will say that you have to know your prey better than 9...

Re: Assasin

Don, do you know what is involved with changing it out, and do you think users will be damaging their bow trying to figure it out? Just curious, and I know that is a tough question to answer. Seems to me that might be a big factor for some having to take it in or send it out for service. First off,...

Re: Assasin

I'm actually warming up to this bow thanks to some candid remarks about it. Yeah the thing is heavy, but if you throw a Crank on some of the other models, they get heavy too. I'm interested in actual performance numbers from it by users, and the maintenance side of things like cooking rope that req...

Will be looking forward to your review. Probably will be better coming from an unbiased shooter actually. :?
If people who have shot the bow are biased, what do you call people have not shot the bow and lay down an opinion?

Re: Assasin

I was told by Dave @ Wyvern Creations that the bow balances really well and he raved about how well the trigger breaks. He also said this will probably hard to get for awhile. I prepaid early, Excalibur is shipping TWO next week to Wyvern and Dave said one belongs to me :D and will ship next week. ...

Re: OT: Polish Hunter Sausage

My wife's family are from Germany and they like Juniper berries in their home made Sauerkraut, but not ground Junipers. I'm betting that the taste of Junipers is pretty distinct. Going to have to try some form of Juniper in our next sausage. I bet it helps people who have an aversion to boar taint.

Re: Leupold Scopes

I like my 30 mm VXR Hog scope. I sighted in my 405 from 30 to 50 yards. I used the spot where the crosshairs meet the lower heavy duplex reticle to kill a turkey at 50 yards.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that it's available. I've asked Peter what the story is.
