Re: Copperhead Snake Bite

Glad to hear you're OK. Back home in Arkansas the only one I worry about is cottonmouths. Most snakes will stay clear of you if given the chance but they cop an attitude. Around here we have rattlesnakes and copperheads and they both scare me. We don't see many snakes, so you tend to forget there ar...

Re: Hunting weight

Oh, you're talking about the bow's weight. When I first saw the subject I was thinking the hunter. With the mountain climbing I have to do just to get to my tree, every pound I can shed off of me and my gear is a one I don't have to tote uphill. Wow, according to my uncalibrated bathroom scale...

Awe....that is darn Purdy Mike....SOLD , if I may offer to buy it please.
Beat me to it. That's looks awesome. I guess I'll hold out for the other colors, though that one would work nicely. I have a family member or two that could use one of these.

Re: Quiver on or off when hunting?

I have top mounts on both of mine, but take the quiver off when I get in the stand. The way I see it, the less mass I have to move around the less chance of being caught moving. Having a Micro doesn't hurt either.

Re: United States Postal Service WTH

I agree, but it's not just the postal services that have the issue. Customer service in general is way down. It may be that people are too busy in some cases. The alternative reasons are worse. I recently shipped a $1000 supercharger from WV to FL to be rebuilt. It was supposed to take two days and ...

Re: Opinions Please - what to buy?

Shoot any of the Micro models a few times. That's all I carry to the woods now. All the speed you need and very easy to handle in tight spaces. That cocking thing though...well, you get what you pay for.

Re: Check your local Walmart

I snagged a couple packs of the Mossy Oak Slick Tricks last month for $15/pack. Yesterday I was in the store and they marked them down to $7/pack so I got three more packs. I guess I'm going to have to start launching more fixed heads at some point. Can you ever have too many broadheads? If you can,...

What that thing needs is a nice coat of mud to dull that shine.

Re: Opinions favorite deer cart

I like not having extra equipment to mess with. That's the primary reason I don't normally use a deer cart. Since my drag is less than 300 yards and mostly downhill, I just use the deer drag strap on my Hunter Safety System harness. The harness does a good job of distributing the weight to waist le...

It means you have contracted multiple microsis. I'm afraid it's terminal.
I'm thinking microsis would be a good thing.

For now I only have one Micro 335 and one Macro 350 (ExoMax).

Re: Sought after past models

I still like the looks of the Equinox. I'd buy one if they hadn't came out with that 405 model. Now I'm thinking one of those would be a nice addition. But since I have a Micro, I find it hard to commit to anything wider.

Re: Hawke XB 30 Pro

I just put one on my Micro 335 about an hour ago. Since I couldn't wait to try it out, I tossed three arrows at 20 yards free-handed to get a rough sight in. Then tossed another at 40 yards to confirm the speed setting. Then I backed up to 70 yards and dropped an arrow within a few inches of the bul...

Re: OT: Venison sausage

DuckHunt, how long does it take you to make roughly 100 pounds of summer sausage in a season? That's the beauty of it. You don't have to make it the day you process the deer. Its probably better to start with frozen ground deer anyway because a good hard freeze also kills some bacteria types. Thoug...
