Re: What would you pick...

I'd probably go with the game cam, but I'm a game cam junkie.

Re: Excalibur MICRO RAID 335

I have a "regular" Micro, and it was already a lot quieter than my M380 and Exomax. I added a Force 10 string from Boo, and it quietened it down even more.

Re: drawloc mini inline vertical crossbow

I've watched all the videos on the mini inline crossbow, and I'm would sure like to get my hand on one. I don't really want to have to buy one to try it.

Re: HELP IN DECISION OF XBOW

I only have a M380 and a Micro 335, so that's all I can legitimately comment on. Between the two, the Micro is hands down my favorite. I hunt out of ground blinds, ladder stands, and tripods, and the Micro is super easy to maneuver in tight spaces. My recommendation to the OP is to look somewhere in...

Re: Off season

I normally remove the string from my crossbows, but I didn't last year and ended up shooting a lot more through the spring and summer. I haven't decided what I'm going to do this year. :?

Re: O/T. Weather

I'm south and east of Ft Worth, and I had to work in 16 degree weather this morning and will be working again in the morning. However, by Tuesday, the highs will be in the mid 70's and lows only in the 60's.

Welcome to Texas!

Re: Why did you buy an X-bow?

I grew up rifle hunting and got into bow hunting (with a vertical bow) while in college to get into the woods earlier, but with a young family and starting a "real job", I didn't have time to practice like I should and quit. I went the next 25 years just rifle hunting again. When Oklahoma and Texas ...

What do you mean by "center a scope"?

If the scope is mounted in rings on a base on the crossbow, it should just need to be sighted in.

Re: Crossbow scope what one

I've been using an illuminated Leupold VXIII 1.5-5 on and off for several years. I've tried a Leupold prismatic sight, a Docter Optic sight, and an Eotech (not the crossbow version), but I keep going back to the Leupold. I bought a Zeiss XB75 and a Vortex XBR, but I've never taken them out of their ...

I've got Force 10 made by Boo on my M380 and Micro and am very happy.

Re: Compound Crossbows

With 4 Excaliburs, I'm pretty heavily vested in recurves, but I've been thinking about trying a Hickory Creek vertical crossbow and am wondering the same thing as the OP.

Re: Width??? Has it been a problem?

My first crossbow was a Exomax, and it was never really a problem in a tree stand. I bought a M380 and really liked the "narrowness" in contrast to the Exomax, but after I got a Micro, I can't ever see myself going back to a "wide" bow.
