Trail Cams

Love em' or hate em'? What type do you look for, low price models or high end cellular models? What brand/type is your favorite? What was the coolest pic/pics, that you have ever captured on your cams? And, most of all, how do you secure your cams?

Re: Salt licks

Years ago we had a regular old farm store salt block out. After a few years (and a few salt blocks) the spot was a hole a foot deep and 3-4 feet wide. Someone gave us a mineral block and we put it in the hole. The mineral block was never touched, and the deer quit using the "lick". The next year I ...

Re: Salt licks

I like to use trophy rocks, if I can get a 20lb one that is best, if not the 12lb one will do. Also use their granules mixed with Purina Antler Max. I was making my own but found the antler max was same price if I made my own. I just put some trophy rocks out and all are gone but one. I have been r...

Re: Mainframe/ Riser Colour Option Opinions Needed

Burnt orange Sounds good. 308 short color, looks awful... It completely turned me away from wanting it. Sticks out like a sore thumb, and the reflection off of it will spook game. Especially in the bright Sunlight!

Salt licks

What are your thoughts on using salt licks/calcium blocks, for Deer? What kind/type do you use, block or granules? Do you use them year round, (at your stand/in your hunting area) or just in the fall? :eusa-think:

Re: WTF? Excalibur 100gr Fixed blade

  Are you sure because Dawn Neill returned my text with a model number for the Target point TP100-12 Maybe the picture is photoshopped? Thanks for the footwork folks! To the guy who seems to be offended by my “attitude”. Don’t get your No-Yank-Tank in a wad, it was more meant for those to ...

Re: Aluminun Arrows

That's absolutely awesome... I ordered 2 dozen inserts from them! The ID of a 2219 arrow should be about (22 / 64) - .038... or .30575". I've never measured the exact ID myself, so that's just based on how Easton's numbering system works, and thus might be an approximation. Anyhow, I ordered the .3...

Re: Aluminun Arrows

With these high poundage bows stiffer and straighter is best. I don’t understand why anyone would prefer a lesser arrow. What is it about aluminum, other than price, that you like? I have been shooting aluminum arrows for over 40 years and they are in my opinion not inferior to carbon arrows in any...

Aluminun Arrows

Call me old school. Call them relics... I like and still use Alum. arrows! (Easton 2219's) I prefer a heavy arrow for hunting. The arrows I use on my Exocet, are 472/475 gr. Excellent accuracy, out to 50yds.! Not planning on switching, to carbon either. (Easton FMJ's are as close as I come...

Re: Most Sought After '18

x 2 on the 308 short for me it would be a nice compliment to my 350 , I do not really go for all the sound suppression add on's for my bows so Ill take the Short over the banshee put some Danny miller string stops on it wrap the striup and call it done. The Assassin I am sure is a great performer b...
