Re: Crossbow hunter takes on Rabid Coyote

Incredible! What a tough guy, and glad as he said that he was the one attacked. Just thinking if that was an unarmed youngster, it would have ended very tragically.

Re: Scent control freak ?

That soap works great, prior to using it I used straight baking soda which also worked great, but was a bit of a rough wash. I think you can buy it online, and i would recommend doing that. On the flip side, i used to hunt with an old fellow that was my neighbor about 28 years ago. He would play the...

Re: Stirring the pot...Broadhead opinion

I am "old school" Nothing but fixed blades for this guy. Nothing against mechanicals. I am not going to whine and moan about the pros and cons of them. They are just not for me! I need to know that my heads are shaving sharp, and reliable. No matter what! Bear Razors - 145gr. and 125gr The 145 gr. ...

Re: Trailcam eye candy

Nice! We got a new lease this year, and the Apprentice is in charge pics, etc. We have three bucks in the early growing stages from about 5 weeks ago. Too early to tell from that, but we will take doe if nothing worth taking with head gear. We have not yet decided if this will be a multi year lease....

Same here, I never get the deer to stop where I can get a shot from the rest. Quit trying that quite a bit ago.
Nice shooting Jeff!

6 years gone by

My neighbor's kid returned from the Coast Guard after 6 years. He left right after High School at 18, just a boy really. Came home at 24 a grown man. I can't even explain the changes in him, but truly admire what the experiences have molded him into. He is the step brother of my apprentice, and has ...

Re: Big foot stirrup

I did not measure dB. The cutouts and the dipped portion seem to really squelch the vibration, and the longer length gives me more room with the 17" arrows to hang the bow from the stirrup without worries of banging my broadhead when the bow is snatched from the hook when the moment comes. I did a t...

Re: Big foot stirrup

The width seems the same, and length maybe an inch. I tucked the regular one up under the BF for comparison, hope that works. Re: Big foot stirrup

I tried the Dr Stirrup, not really for me. I love the Big Foot on my 355 Micro, seems to deaden the vibration, and allows me to use the same length arrows i have made for the matrix 380.
