Re: HHA Optimizer

I have one. I resisted for years on two grounds: too heavy and too high. I’m over these two factors. The weight bothers me a bit but I can live with it. The rail height is only mitigated by my custom laminate stock with modular cheekpieces for different heights. Amazing tool for target archery and 1...

Re: Excalibur 405 riser opinion

I had my riser modified for a Matrix 410, (it’s a slightly longer draw than a 405mega), and though I have not chronographed this setup, I like the peace of mind in knowing I have a reliable performer. It’s plenty fast and I haven’t had a limb issue since the mod, (2 years). It could also be that the...

Re: Striped Threads

Another option, Wes - send it to Excalibur and ask them to use their threaded inserts for the front and back mainframe-stock holes. I did this for my M410 which uses a custom laminate stock and you can tighten them down really well without fear of stripping. I like the piece of mind and I :eusa-thin...

Re: Lumenoks ??????

Lumenocks use the conductivity of carbon/aluminum to complete a circuit. 50 hours on a Lumenock would be far below average...I have seen some that last for up to a week with the light on. The HD lumenocks are very bright and at 28gn they won’t drastically affect POI. For practice, I weight match my ...

 Nice...when Excalibur finally makes us a production Micro 370 BP I’ll get off my wallet. Until then I’m content with what I have.

Re: Aluminun Arrows

With these high poundage bows stiffer and straighter is best. I don’t understand why anyone would prefer a lesser arrow. What is it about aluminum, other than price, that you like?

Re: Scope manufactures

Leupold is easy to find on the web. its the other makers i find harder to find. i spent a while looking for the scope made for the bear crossbows reticle made by hawke. i will say you need to try them in the field, for instance i wanted to like the Nikon crossbow scope but i found with my eyes the ...

Re: Black Bear as tabel fair

I was fortunate enough to hunt with some forum members and I took a sub-adult bear and it tasted great. I ground up most of the meat and added 20% pork and it tasted just like venison does. The tenderloins and backstraps were out of this world delicious with just salt and pepper. Don’t be afraid to ...
