Re: Have my 2017 buck home

Hey Partikle,
you know. guys like you really annoy me, showing off your trophies, "look at me" attitude, it just drives me crazy. By the way, when you put your house up for sale and I buy it, will you include those two trophies (please)?

Re: Length of Excalibur ownership?

Bought my bare Vixen in 1996. I'll keep it until I don't hunt anymore, and that will be at my life end.

You Know

For those of Us "Out of Season" it is all about the memories. My biggest thrill this season was getting a grouse with my Vixen. As for memories, this is the first time in 20 seasons that I have seen Bucks chasing does, not just following them but actually grunting and pushing them off. Nature is the...

Re: Boofest 2017 anyone?

Schott you are joking right? It is the biggest get-to-gether of the best people you would want to meet up with, and I have never attended (yet). Do a search on this forum, and be prepared to do a lot of (fun) reading. I noticed that you did not put a location in your info. It might have an impact on...

Re: spoiled meat

Me again, Wow, I wasn't able to get online for a while, and the topic has kind of deviated from the original question. Bob, It was a perfect shot, double lung. But the inexperienced hunter didn't see the buck go down and it wandered into thick swamp, so when I arrived I asked for descriptions of wha...

Re: Do-It-Yourself Butcher???

Normous OMG I learned from the same book. I believe it was an "outdoor life" publication.

I agree with Belleriver, Google it and learn more every time you butcher one.

spoiled meat

I'll try to keep this short. My nephew shot a nice buck on Thursday last week around 4:30 pm. We collected the buck on Friday morning around 9:30 am the temperature throughout the night was 2 to 5 degrees Celsius. We gutted it when we collected it. After hanging the deer for just over a week, we but...

Re: Field processing game question

On another tangent just adjusted my post to say ''North American hunters'' are more into meat recovery than Australians, not just the US. On a Canadian forum too, sorry fellas I am aware N.A is two countries.

Actually, Mexico is part of North America too. Just say'in.

Re: Memorial day

Today is "D" day,

And I cannot image what "our" warriors went through. When I hunt in the fall, I always shed a tear for the November 11 heroes, and thoughs of our time.

your's, truly humbled
