Re: Serving Issues

I'll definitely send it. Much appreciated vixenmaster! It'll be coming from Joshua Johnson out of Ruston, Louisiana. When you send it back send me a brochure and/or some string prices too. Thanks again.

Re: Serving Issues

How do I polish the latches? And what do I use? I feel like a newbie. I'm familiar with crossbows, especially excals, but I've ran into a few issues such as this that I've never heard of.

Re: Serving Issues

Will try it out. I've been using the excalibur brand lube. Just putting a little on the rail and then spreading it with my finger. If this continues I'm going to lose it. Lol.

Re: Serving Issues

And I'll definitely be sure to turn the string counterclockwise when tuning the bow. I can't remember if I did or didn't the previous times I put new strings on.

Re: Serving Issues

It is separating at the jaws. Right where the jaws catch the string when the bow is cocked is where the separation occurs. And am I not supposed to lube the rails? Seriously asking because I thought that was what I was supposed to be doing every 25 shots or so.

Serving Issues

I have an Excalibur Matrix 350LE and love it. The combination of the bow and 125 grain swhacker broadheads make for a supremely accurate and deadly combination. The issue I have though is with the serving. Where the string is held back the serving completely spaces out exposing the bare string. I tr...

Re: To Shoot or Not to Shoot???

At that distance I'd probably shoot. I understand that everyone might not feel the same as I do though. Also, from my experience, if you aim just a few inches above the shoulder they drop in their tracks once hit. Now I typically always aim for lungs but in that situation I'd aim slightly high on th...

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?

I prefer a 375 grain arrow. I use the Diablo bolts with a 175 grain swhacker broadhead and I've had nothing but good luck with the combination.

Lighted Nock Size

Can someone tell me which size lumenok fits the diablo bolts? I should've bought the bolts with the lighted nocks already installed but, of course, I didn't. Started looking online to buy them and saw they come in different sizes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 125 Grain Slick Tricks or 150 Grain Slick Tricks

UPDATE: Just realized that my buddy who chrono'd my 350 was shooting a 350 grain bolt. Not sure what I'm shooting with the 400 grain bolt. Just wanted to clear that up since I previously posted about shooting 356 fps.

Will definitely post them. Hogs are everywhere here. And recently black bears have been showing up everywhere. Never saw them in North La until about 6 months ago but now they are a common sighting

Re: 125 Grain Slick Tricks or 150 Grain Slick Tricks

Makes sense LBJ. I didn't know the weight of the insert that comes on the diablos is only 30 grains. If the bolt drops 1 inch at 40 yards I can live with that. I'm all about accuracy... not so much speed. With that said my 350 is shooting 356 fps with factory string and 150 grain field points on the...
