Re: Deadzone scope price question

Thanks, I'll post it as a give away in another forum. I figured it wasn't worth as much as a Chinese fishing weight.

Re: Length of Excalibur ownership?

I’ve only been at it for a few years and 290-330fps works great for me with no need for sound suppression other than a piece of bike inner tube betwixed the stirrup and bow, and dipped the stirrup. I can cock these bows easy and fast too. I’ve already lost count of the deer and hogs I’ve shot with t...

Re: case options for the Matrix Grizzly??

Since the bow is near indestructible, I found the best case to be: https://www.vero-vellini.com/collections/vero-vellini-air-cushion-premium-slings/products/vero-vellini-premium-wide-top-rifle-sling-black-neoprene-black-leather And it keeps your hand from getting cold from the plastic while in shoot...

Re: bolts for the Grizzly?

Bro, I use the Diablo and have driven it length wise through a 425lb hog, killed two hogs with one bolt on a double pass through, and they shoot zero for me. You can lightly spray the bolt and fletchings with reflective paint which shows up with a flashlight but most of my shots are pass throughs so...

Re: Matrix String

I'm sure this bow/string/noise/velocity/optics think ain't no different than rifle and caliber debates. I will say this, I got into the Excaliber recurve game because of its simplicity, reliability, and durability. I like the factory string and I'd step up the bow for added velocity instead of stepp...

Re: Matrix String

Just order a spare matrix string.

If you read this article and other opinions from even the string makers such as Boo, they will be the first to tell you the factory matrix string is BEST

Re: Excalibur Broadheads

They work, nuthin to write home about. I think they work better on cross lung shots. My typical boltcutter cross lung shot I retrieve the bolt and the animal walks 15 steps and falls over. I find the standard recommended Excalibur stuff to be very accurate though. That speed loss and string noise cr...

Re: OT: Why do you kill deer?

I think its VERY important for a person to learn outdoor skills that make it possible to kill a deer. I never push a kid into the actual act.

Some of the best hunters I've met now use a camera.
