Re: Just Asking

Glad to see that you will keep your bow. I was unhappy to see how you were piling on stuff to sweeten an already sweet deal

Re: Reducing scent

I'd like to add one thing---- what ever species I've hunted, . I can usually find the crap piles. I'll immediately step in it and use their natural scent . the fresher the better! In yrs past even taking my cap and rub it in the crap pile. In areas where there is a lot of cattle - yep step in that ...

Re: Check this out!

Apparently it's priced at $21.26, according to Bcxbow's link.

Don't know if that's US or Canukabucks. It's a useful device no doubt, but for either dollars seems priced high for what should be involved to manufacture it.

Re: Aluminum bolt specs

Save yourself a whole lot of aggravation and DON'T use any puller that threads into the rear of your arrow. That is, unless you don't mind having to reglue the nock back. The best arrow puller is the "Danny Miller" pliers type.

Re: Hog Hunt = A Blast!

Well done. I have to admit that when you described shooting that pig between the eyes using an arrow, I sort of cringed at first. Then I remembered watching farmers kill a pig before butchering. They only used a 22 rimfire, most likely a "short" rather than a "long rifle" cartridge. It would be one ...

I read what you had to say.
I looked at your pictures.

No, no, bring him back to Canada. He could run in the next Federal election as a Liberal candidate.

Do you (or anyone else) remember the fellow who made flint broadheads? Wouldn't that be a hoot to mount one of them on a wooden shaft? With real feather fletching?

Re: Is anyone out there using WOOD ARROWS ?

Johnny It's too bad that you had your feelings apparently hurt on this forum. We are friendly here, and helpful to strangers. I guess most of us are attracted to the most modern components in archery. It's too bad you hadn't been on here some years back. There was a fellow who made his own flint bro...

Re: Ice fishing with Flies!

That's thinking "outside the box". Good for you. The most extreme "outside the box" thinking I've ever heard of was by one of our local characters. He used (with some success) 220 Connibear traps with kernel corn on the trigger....ice fishing. It wasn't legal here, but what lawmaker would even dream...

Labrador Retriever For Sale

Let's be clear now, this isn't connected with Big John's puppy bloodline. A guy is driving around the back woods of Ontario and he sees a sign in front of a house: 'Talking Dog For Sale.' He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard. The guy goes into the backyard...
