Re: Venison neck roast ?

Here's some food for thought.......... http://www.tnoutdoorsnews.com/home/new-non-fatal-test-for-cwd-is-venison-safe-to-eat The article mentions that they use lymph nodes from the throat for the test...............and that Michigan was the latest state to find CWD in it's wild herd....although this ...

Re: Venison neck roast ?

I stay away from them because of all the lymph nodes in the neck. I take the meat, but make sure to not get any lymph nodes. CWD is in the spine and lymph nodes. We don't have it here but I try to be safe.

Re: Practicing with Field Points

If you are shooting a 100 grain broadhead out of a stock excaliber bolt they only have a 30 grain insert. The stock excalibur bolts were meant to be shot with a 150 grain boltcutter now to make it worse you're adding a heavier luminock on the rear.lm not saying your setup wont work as said you use ...

Re: Rage Crossbow X Broadheads

Billy...I agree. Many guys want their broadheads and FPs to shoot the same hole. But it just doesn't stand to reason. Broadheads have MUCH more surface area than a bullet FP and therefore have more drag. IMO if your broadheads hit just a bit lower, but in line with your FPs, then probably all is wel...

Re: Rage Crossbow X Broadheads

Heck...just watch a few deer hunting shows. Many show you the closeup of the Rage on the tip of the arrow and when the shot happens MANY times 50% or more of the arrow is sticking out of the deer. I lost a big buck to a Rage POS several years ago. Hit behind the shoulder at about 10yds from a Horton...

Re: Practicing with Field Points

DanO From what you said, my guess is that you are shooting a fixed blade broadhead. What is happening, is the large blades of the broadhead are steering the arrow similar to what teh fletchings do. This is called arrow plane-ing. There are a few reasons this may happen. 1) the arrow does not spin tr...

Re: G5 Deadmeat Expandables performance?

Just picked up a pack of these to try, haven't sighted in yet. Currently shooting 100gr Ramcats but not satisfied with accuracy, just not as accurate as Spitfires I used to shoot. Anyone have good experience with these? Look at your arrows. My Ramcats are FP accurate out to 40 (longest I can shoot)...

Re: FLEMISH DYNA STRINGS

Janesy, The Zeiss scope has FPS velocity adjustment to correct arrow drop at different ranges. If the scope is not dialed in for arrow speed, how can you possibly hope to hit center, when your shots are dropping down from your crosshair measurement placement? You can be dead on at 20 yards, but the...

That IS cool......easy to mistake that for a mountain lion if you just get a glimpse in the woods.

Re: Daltons string wax.

If you like it, then I'd keep it and use it sparingly. I don't wax stuff very often so what you have would last me a long time and should last you a long time too. As a builder I go through more on new strings.

Re: Grounded

As everyone else has said, don't give up just adapt and find a good doctor. FWIW I hunt from the ground most times anyway in a Ghille suit. It has lots of advantages in that you are mobile and can setup about anywhere. You can adapt to how the deer change their movements very easily and aren't stuck...
