Exomax Anti-Dry Fire

Post by ko4nrbs » Fri Nov 10, 2017 8:21 am

My hunting buddy and I have decided to install the Excalibur Guardian Anti-Dry Fire Mount on our crossbows. I have an Exomax and he has an Equinox. We both have dry fired our bows a couple of times so it will be a worth while investment.

All three of my brothers installed it on their Excaliburs now it’s our turn. My brothers have been after me a good while to do it. In addition to the peace of mind I’ll have them off me case!! Be a lot quieter in deer camp I hope!!

Does the Guardian complicate decocking much?

Not at all! Just push it in with your thumb while pulling the trigger to de-cock! I installed one on my Vixen II just for peace of mind. I've always hunted with crossbows that have had the ADF and felt weird without one so that was one of my first accessories! I've never dry fired a crossbow yet, (knock on wood) but the day will come I'm sure because it has happened to 99.9% of all crossbow owners! Go for it and good luck!

I installed one on my Exocet 200 for a peace of mind. It would probably survive a dry fire but I don't want to chance it.

I won't own a crossbow without ADF installed. Peace of mind goes a long ways.

Thanks Boo for catching my typo :)
