Ground Blind Poles

Post by ko4nrbs » Mon Dec 18, 2017 3:45 pm

Broke another pole for my Ameristep Doghouse blind so I started looking for something a little better. The blind itself is still in excellent condition after being used for 3 years or so. I have left it out for a couple of months this season. The fiberglass poles that cam with it are easy to split or break so I decided to try these.

The poles I have are 8 feet long and about 5/16 inches in diameter. The aluminum ones can be cut to fit so I ordered the 11 foot ones.

I have a dog house blind and what's funny is after the last time using it
I left the rods for the roof support laying in the woods. Never did find them.
I guess i'll get the fiberglass poles and cut them to fit.

I got the aluminum poles today. They look great. I will have to remove 3 of the sections to get them down near 8 feet so they will fit in the Doghouse blind. They are 11.3 feet long and were the shortest ones they had.

They are very flexible and appear very well made.
