Arrow day

Fletched up some Spynal tapp shafts.. ;)

I'm really liking the SK vanes. I won't use any other brand. The adhesion is superior IMO...

Which vane size are you using Jeff? I might try those out.

They are 2" SK's. I like them for the shorter 16.5" micro arrows..

They do look great! How are you adhering them? Broadhead planned and vane orientation? What is the max range you have tested your arrow set-up to?

Nice!

Do the SKs fly the same as 2" blazers?

That Spynal Tapp logo is airbrushed on and won't "burn" into the target, correct?

Were those shafts the "close outs"?

Thanks

Zing primer then gorilla glue blue top.

Cock vane is on the stiff side of the spine. I use mechanicals so I just glue up the brass insert and go!!

Good groups out to 60 yards. But I'm a hunter first and practice out to 40 mostly.

Shooting targets is fun but I'd rather aim for the lungs.. Lol

I think they fly about the same or better than blazers.
These are the ST sale arrows for 5.00 each and no gummy target mess!! Plus they can easily be removed with a knife for that clean look.. ;)

Not sure why but I made up a few shafts for the micro with those vanes on a helical twist and they all hit in a different spot. I thought maybe it was the vane going down the rail on an angle that throws them off. I took them off and went back to the straight 2 inch parabolic round back and they fly great. I have always used the AAE Nock & Vane Fastset Gel but thinking of trying some of the locktite stuff.
