Wouldn't it be nice that instead of a 1/2 doz pics of what the scope looks like on the outside they would show a picture of the reticle :?

Some do, but it should be required!

Leupold is easy to find on the web. its the other makers i find harder to find. i spent a while looking for the scope made for the bear crossbows reticle made by hawke. i will say you need to try them in the field, for instance i wanted to like the Nikon crossbow scope but i found with my eyes the circles got lost on dark targets. i also found the" + " marks in many of the others just didnt work for me either. Leupold’s reticle diagrams aren’t to scale, which makes buying them sight unseen a risky proposition.

Leupold only shows the center 20% +/- of the overall field of view.
I may not be alone by wanting to see the whole scope view.
