Game Camera Camo

Post by PublicLandHunter1 » Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:19 pm

Does anyone have any ideas for camouflaging game cameras to prevent theft? I normally F26 bark to my bear boxes but I am looking to improve blending them into the tree. Have not had one stolen yet but I know the lock needs addressing. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

I’ve had luck by hanging my cameras higher. I also went to wifi transmitted cameras so I don’t have to pull the cards they download on my network straight to my computer. Good luck!

Make a "log" out of 6" pcv, covered by bark with the camera installed inside. Place it in the crotch of a tree or stand it up on end.

Years ago when I made my own homebrew cams I had a piece of bark that i put clay on a tree in the area and made a form. I then would put liquid nails on the outside of the cam leaving the lens etc open and press the mold into it. Then let dry and paint to mach the tree bark. I would set some cameras on trails in public parks and never had one stolen they blended in like a part of the tree really well.
