Set Screws for Weight

Post by chilly_willy » Tue Mar 06, 2018 4:06 pm

Any thoughts on using 8/32 set screws inside the brass insert for some extra weight. Thanks

I have doing that for many years to detail my own custom arrow weights. Generally I use inexpensive set screws that vary in 5 grain increements from 10 grain up to 50 grain.

Glueing them in gives the best results but make sure not to seat them too deep or you may not be able to fully seat a fieldpoint of broadhead.

Insert glue, but Loctite is a good option as well.
