Oh I’m kidding about the “photoshop” thing.

I’ve already ordered the heads about five minutes ago.

Done deal
I think we are all entitled to an internet "do-over" every once in a while. Cheers!
I'm happy to learn of a cool new product, and look forward to your report back on how they shoot.

They probably shoot fine, the ferrule base diameter matching the shaft is my concern.

The only thing missing now is the composition of the ferrule, I think it claims stainless from Excalibur but Sullivan Industries told me aluminum. Not a biggy for me because they both have the same weak point which is when the trocar tip hits something hard at an angle and the ferrule spreads up top like a flower opening. Its not something that happens often anyway.

Cant say for sure, but Ive had a few innerloc fixed heads and they were all aluminum.
They all shot well. But the "slice" 100gr heads were all but impossible to get out of the target .

Excaliber should get with VPA for a proper diameter head and be done with it.

Certainly that would go along with the simplistic and rugged mantra.

Well, they do exist. The Boltcutter 100gr Blue received today, will shoot next week

Rayzor at VPA says the custom shop 125gr vented is made for the larger shaft.

It looks like the blades are the same but I won’t know till I weigh them and interchange them.

The 100 grain is aluminum body in my assesment

The 100gr Boltcutter is longer than the 150gr because the screw in trocar is longer, probably to put that weight up front.

I’m hunting 300lb Plus Boar hogs hogs with my 410 the rest of the weekend, hopefully I can watch these heads fly this week.

I can only go by what the manufacturer is telling me at this moment until I can verify with Excalibur. Not looking for speculation or rednek ignorance with arrogance.

Its actually still rainy. Maybe the week after next.

Not just a rednek with attitude bro but that ignorance with arrogance like looking at a sales receipt and saying I didn’t buy this thing here that rang up “tx” so I ain’t paying for it. Where “tx” is sales tax.

The kinda place where you follow the muddy rubber boot tracks to the beer cooler.

Are you sure because Dawn Neill returned my text with a model number for the Target point TP100-12

Maybe the picture is photoshopped?

Thanks for the footwork folks!

To the guy who seems to be offended by my “attitude”. Don’t get your No-Yank-Tank in a wad, it was more meant for those to follow you because you ask a simple question and you start getting off subject advice from the peanut gallery. You know exactly how it can go.

Actually, we'll be selling a 100 grain Boltcutter this year. It's not on our website yet but it is listed in our 2018 catalogue:

http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018_EXCALIBUR_CATALOG.pdf

For years we had a 100 grain Wasp broad head that worked fine, we just found the heavier head showed benefits with faster crossbows at longer distance with the added front of center weight. But nothing wrong with a 100 grain, they are still safe to use with any of our crossbow models.

Just took this pick of the catalog I picked up at the ATA. and FYI I can't figure out how to Photoshop something.

Ok, so I tested these 100gr this morning and I shot a bunch of bolts at different ranges because I couldn’t believe my eyes.

I used the Grizzly this morning aptly named “goodnight”. It uses the stock string and a Nikon Boltcutter and Diablo bolts. I haven’t chron’d it with these 100gr yet but feel its in the 300fps range.

My observations:

First off, the Excalibur 100gr TP, Exact, and Boltcutters without blades all hit the same spot and the groups are so tight one should not shoot the same dot or you’ll split a bolt.

They sink into the target at all ranges deeper than the 150gr Boltcutters

With the Nikon bolt I found the ballistic dots for each range to be dead on at 20, 30, and 40 yards.

The surprising part is using the ballistic circles at corresponding yardage at 50 yards they hit 3” high, 60 yard 3” high, and for giggles I put the 60 yard circle on the target dot at 70 yards and it was 1/2” low. I didn’t bother any further. This was absolutely repeating over and over again.

I don’t know how they shoot in a higher speed bow but will unequivocally tell y’all, in the 300fps range with three different heads available, this setup is a winner and a deadly 70 yard crossbow.
