Re: back from the taxidermist
Beautiful buck Neil. I like your outdoor photos. I'll second your accolades for the work done by Alfie. He did one for me last year and it turned out awesome. Hope you don't mind me adding a photo of mine here, even though it wasn't taken with archery tackle. Jerry http://i261.photobucket.com/albums...

Rifle scope on Vixen
Can a rifle scope be used on a crossbow without the risk of damage to the scope? The reflex sight I've had on my Vixen for a few years has packed it in and it may be a while before I can replace it. I have an old Weaver K3 sitting on the shelf that I could mount until I can pick up a reflex or red d...

That's him. Alf M.
He does nice work, and he delivered it on his way to Haliburton. Can't beat that for service.

Buck mount back
I got my 2011 buck mount back today from the taxidermist. I think he did a great job. Thanks Alfie! So, I found a place for some 'fence post" pictures. I thought I'd share one with my friends here. This one wasn't taken with my crossbow. My .223 did the job. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...

Re: OT - went "nuts" at the lathe
That's a nice looking lathe. I looked it up online. They say it will extend to 40 inches. That's a lot bigger than I expected a mini to be. It seems that would be plenty for most applications.
It looks like a quality piece of machinery.

Nice work Wabi!
Did you use a mini lathe or a full sized one?

Re: woooooohooooo!!!!!!!way to go Canada
A massive step forward for the firearm community! I'm not sure what I am happier about, the demise of the LGR or watching Iggy get kicked to the curb, that arrogant, misinformed prick is gone. :D The only trouble with Iggy being gone is where he's gone. He's now working at the University of Toronto...

Re: Age of Vixen.
That looks very much like my Vixen, which I bought in the late 1980s - 87-89, or thereabouts. Jerry I figure yer meaning 97-98, as the vixen started in 95 & its been a great model Nope, it's definitely from the '87-'89 era. I bought it when I was working in Lindsay and I left there in 1990. I k...
