Re: 9 yr old Nephews first crossbow deer
Great job,& a fine shot. Its great that his Uncle is getting him involved in hunting. Keep them busy & involved in something interesting like the outdoors & they wont have time to travel down the wrong path (Drugs etc..)that alot of kids & even adults sometimes travel when they have ...

Re: rage
I tend to agree with you, even though they have the practice head,I still want to see the actual broadhead fly. I use Muzzy 125 fixed head, this is the 1st year I am using them, but I got them to fly the same as my FPs,hope to see what they'll do on a deer next weekend.

Re: love the woods...
I think what amazes me most is all the noise the songbirds, squirrels, and chipmunks make, then suddenly and silently a deer will appear. Thats true you if you pay attention to the sounds of the forrest ,sometimes you can tell when deer are approaching, sometimes the Blue jays will start making a r...

Re: love the woods...
I too enjoy just sitting in the woods observing nature in action. One time I was sitting in a tree stand watching gray squirrels & all of a sudden a Hawk came down & grabbed a squirrel & carried him off into the air,the squirrel was going nuts & the Hawk got him about 150ft in the ai...

Re: ez fletch
with all the helix do the vanes rub the rail and if so does it effect the flite of the arrow ? I just fletched mine with 2" Bohning Blazers & I used a helical jig,It didn't put a radical helix on the vane. I'm not familiar with the ez fletch.I use a Bitzenberger Jig. But my arrows sure do ...

Re: best and worst day 10-1-11
I remember years ago I shot a small buck & I would mark the blood trail with small pieces of toilet paper. So I placed a small piece where he was when I shot him. The following day I sat in the same tree & had a monster buck coming straight into me, he got to 15yds where I left the 1st piece ...

Re: What a Difference a Vane makes
yeah, you would think the 4" vanes that were on the bolts would stabilize the arrow better than a short 2" vane. I also installed them with a slight helical. Cant get to radical with the helical or they'll hit the rail.plus its hard too with the short 2" vane

What a Difference a Vane makes
was having problems with Broadhead flight, to the point where I wouldn't go hunting till I got it fixed. I read alot of good things about 2" Bohning Blazers and also talked to my nephew who is the ultimate "V" bow hunter & has his own archery shop. He also recommended I try the Bl...
