I have used the 150 grain ones for the last 2 years and between my son and I we have harvested 10 deer, a turkey, and a squirrel. The fly great and you get great penetration. All kills were complete passthroughs except one doe that my son shot quartering away and hit in the spine.

This was the first year for my son and I with the Vortex and our second season hunting with the crossbow. That is why I like carbon.

I prefer the Reinhart Rhinoblock. It has two sides with a 3D like deer on it. It also had replaceable sides for broadheads. I also have the bone collector bag target that I used for field points mainly because I won it in a drawing.

I don't practice with them regularly. I use victory arrows with the Lumenok on them. The POI was the same for the ones with or without the Lumenok. From what I have read most people get the same POI, but I would definately shoot them a few times to make sure.

I get Crossbow Magazine as well. I enjoy it alot.

I won't deer hunt without them especially when hunting with my son. It is easier to see where the shot hit to know if you need to wait. It is also easier to find the arrow to see what evidence is on it. I love them.

When will the new crossbows actually hit the shelves? I know the website says early 2012, but wondered what month they are anticipated.
