Disappointed in local chain store

Post by Tom »

I will not name the store, but on Saturday I found myself in the store so I decided to check out the new excalibur models. I was hoping to check out a bullpulp stock.

When I asked if they had a Micro Suppressor they told me that Excalibur did not have that model. When I explained that Excalibur did produce it, they went on to explain that since it was a new model, it would be at least 6 months before they would be getting any as Excalibur is now an American Company. That the problem was getting them across the border (back into Canada). They went on stressing how Excalibur was not Canadian any more.

To me, the most disappointing part was the people I was talking to have been around guns and bows for a very long time. I also believe that one of them is a gunsmith.

I guess the store must make a higher profit on other models.

Tom, if it was me I'd let Peter, or someone at Excalibur know. I'd even have names and numbers to pass along. That's just me though. :?:

....so TRUMP brought Excalibur to the states.... as much as I like the fact that Excalibur is owned by a "Merican" company.... it's still a Canadian home grown company to me!

I wasn't going to say it, again, but I had the "pro staff" at Wholesale Sports in Langley B.C. and Nanaimo B.C., Cabellas in Abbotsford B.C., and Bass Pro in Tsewassen B.C. and Burlington Washington tell me that the crossbow strings digging into the bumpers of the Excalibur bows is normal and they're supposed to be like that because that's how they come from the factory. No amount of explaining otherwise, by me, could change their minds or do any good. You know what they say, ignorance can be fixed but stupid is forever.

i don't care who you voted for or what your beliefs are, the electoral college is outdated and needs to go.... some even might go so far as to say the system is "rigged!" :)

Thanks the heads up guys. We do our best to train store staff with on-site visits from sales staff plus we go to annual training events. However, the information does not always trickle down to the people on the floor.

I find it interesting all the rumors that get started by uneducated store staff not just in big box stores but many other retailers as well. I think the problem is there are so many items they sell that to be an expert in all the products is a bit challenging so instead of admitting they don't know the answer they come up with their own. :D

And yes, we're still in Canada and Suppressors are being shipped daily.

If the electoral college is eliminated, most elections would be decided by California, New York, Florida, Texas and Illinois. (Basically the candidates representing mainly metropolitan areas.)

The Dems lost because HRC was the candidate. If Biden would have ran, the Dems would still have the white house. If you want to blame something, blame the DNC super delegates that basically picked HRC regardless of what the primary voters wanted.

Enough about politics. ;)
