Dumb question. What is the difference between this and the 525?
Stepless illumination and metal screw in caps on the 530 are the most obvious differences. It also weighs 3 ozs more. I greatly prefer my 530s to my 525.

@bcxbow & @robertyb - What is the reason you all prefer the 530 to the 525? Better glass? illumination? etc?

For me it is better glass, infinite rheostat Illumination and the metal lens caps. The 530 is just better IMO.

I feel the same about my XB1 vs my XB30 so this makes complete sense. How's the glass compare? MY XB1 is not clear to the edge like the XB30

About the same Keith, all Hawke did was slightly change the reticle and print a different name on them.
Billy when you say about the same, you mean comparing the Trophy Ridge to the Hawke? 530 to the XB30?
I am not Billy but the answer is Yes. They are basically the same exact scope (clone) with a retical difference and another name. Both are made by Hawke.
