I took a close up of the cocking groove wear. I am sure that I will put some scratches and dings in it over time but that is just the the nature of the beast.[url=https://postimages.org/]
I like the idea of a flat finish with soft touch but in the end I had to have the high gloss. If I had to do it again I would be interested in a weathered wood look like an old grey barnboard. I saw one dip film that looked like a rotted log, that would also look great. The options are endless that is for sure. Take care,

I took off the rubber grips and the Excalibur and Axe stickers. I am sure they could do it for you but ask first. It was pretty easy. Like taking molding off I used a very thin 1/2" wide putty knife worked it in under the piece carefully then twisted the blade back and forth gently. A screwdriver will gouge everything you must use a thin blade of some sort.
