Boltcutter questions, also my Slick Trick Buck

Post by GLC »

I just saw the Excalibur website advocating Boltcutter broadheads. 150 grains. Will they work on my older Gold Tip arrows? Anyone using the Boltcutters now? How do they fly and what kind of on-game performance are you getting?

Thanks,

Also, my 8 point from Wednesday night. Exocet 200, 100 grain Slick Trick magnums. About 27 yards.

1st congrats on your harvesting of a fine Buck. 2nd Boltcutters i have 6 of them and i shot their 150 gr field pts. to get my CB set on bag targets. tried the BH at 20 yds on waldo my 3-D deer it hit a little low and abit low at 30 yds. using my lumizone. so i adjusted 20 yd and then 30 was good. i shot a 6 pt. and it was pass thru he went roughly 50 yds. 35 yds no blood trail but the last 15 yds was ok. i hit him mid lvl and it had to fill up chest cavity before leaving trail. i think they are a decent BH. to get replacement blades have to order them from an Excal dealer.

Congrats on the fine buck.I did not try my bolt cutters because I like 100 grain heads.
