Cocked Crossbow

Post by Louvp »

Is it ok to sit in the treestand with the crossbow cocked for 3-4hrs? Will it damage the bow?

Welcome to the forum Louvp. :)

It's not a problem to leave your Excal cocked for several hours. I regularly hunt from dawn till dusk with my bow cocked the entire time without any issues.

I wouldn't recommend trying it but bows have accidentally been put away cocked for a few days and no issues occured.

I left mine hanging cocked in a tree for two days once or twice. Doesn't hurt a thing.
