O/T I learned something new today

Post by ElmerFudd »

Bought my Christmas present to myself today ( wife passed a few years back). I did not know that Savage Arms has a plant in Lakefield, Ont. What I brought home was a 17 HMR. Fit and Finish is very good. It has a heavy barrel and synthetic stock. It came with a 3 to 9 power Bushnell scope. Trigger is a tinny bit heavy (darned lawyers) but is crisp with no creep. If all of you Northern crafts-persons build guns with the quality that I see in Excals I know that when I go to the range to try it I will be very happy with my purchase.

Sweeeeet!!!!! :D :D 8)
I've been wanting one of them for a while...some precision hog thinning during the summer. My friend has one & he say's it's deadly medicine on smaller hogs when you stick it in the ear drum!! :)
Let us know how it shoots. 8)

My buddy has one, and really likes it, i know its a good coyote management unit, as well, i've seen it pop down a crow in the field from about 150 yards, they shoot well!
