Which Arrows to use?

Post by jody5252 »

Micro 315... If using a 16.5", 2219 Easton mag., with (Ethics) 110 gr., Steel inserts, Or 16.5" Spynal tapp, (Black Eagle Arrows) with 110 gr., Double Tapp or Brass inserts. Which is the better Arrow, and why? I prefer Alum., Arrows. I have never had any issues with them. However, from what I read on here, Spynal tapp (from South Shore) seem to be a very good Arrow. They are tough, reliable, and accurate... For the Arrows, I would be using: 125 gr. Fixed blade heads - 2" Blazer vanes, Fletched on a Bitz Jig. Either 3* or 4* offset (Not sure what degree the clamp is. I use this Clamp/Jig, for all my Arrows) - Wraps - Lumenoks - Want to build the best Arrow possible, for a Micro 315... Will there really be that much of a difference, with either Arrow? 50 yds. would be my absolute maximum range. What are the pros and cons, of each type of Arrow? Thank you all, for a reply... :eusa-clap:

Re: Arrows for a Micro

I shoot spinal taps and 2219 both 16.5 from my micro.Taps have 220 grains up front.2219 have 176 grains up front, both arrow shoot the same as long as they are spine indexed.235 grains on 2219 seems a little much not that it won't shoot we'll but will probably not shoot with the taps .my goal was to get those two shafts to shoot the same and this is what has worked for me at 50yards the 2219. Is a little lower than taps 2219 is heaver.
