Re: Bull Riding and Crossbows
I forget who said it, or where it came from but the line went like this... "So, you wanna be a bull rider? Get you a handful of marbles and put them all in your mouth. Every few minutes spit out a marble until you've lost all your marbles, and then you'll be a bull rider"!! Never...

Re: Micro 355
I have a Micro and all I use anymore is the rope cocker. I have a C2 crank, but after a hook breaking and causing me to buy new underwear :wtf: , it's in a drawer gathering dust. I know I'll eventually need it one day, so I'm saving it. :D Anyway, I get plenty of exercise everyday....I have to drag ...

Re: How old is old
Be 62 in a couple of months. I've had 3 knee surgeries. Got pins, plates and screws all over my body from being hit by a drunk driver at an accident scene one day. Pins in my hip, cadaver bone grafts in my neck and spine along with plates and screws. . Took 18 months for me to ever be able to go sit...

Re: New crossbow
Get in touch with David @ Wyvern and have him put together some 16.5 BEE's with 110 grain brass insert, Lumenoks and find you a 100 grain pointy thing that flies like a bullet from your Axe and you'll be set to go!!

Re: Fear or to fear not? splinter or what?
I would finish the season for sure a small splinter is not a huge deal and does not mean the limb is going to fail your limbs are made of thousands of fiberglass strands bonded together and a splinter can happen I had a splinter on my Equinox sniped it off sanded it and hunted about another 6 years...

Fear or to fear not? splinter or what?
https://i.postimg.cc/g08rxm9S/DSCN7246.jpg Okay, found this little jewel on my Micro's right limb near the bottom. Pic is upside down. Is this a dreaded cracking of the limb, a splinter or what? :wtf: If you gently lift this up, the color on the back side of the loose piece is white. Could i...

Re: One reason I own a Excalibur
I had to laugh at a neighbor who thought maybe the Excalibur was okay but still bought another crossbow; compound. Had warranty work done 3 times and finally gave up. Thought about Excalibur but had to have "the best" so he bought a Ten Point. That lasted either one or two years and now h...

Re: My thinking
One place I hunt is surrounded by several large farms/ranches. I've been able to talk most of the surrounding owners/hunters into bow hunting only, or leasing to bow hunters only!. This year, a ranch about a mile down the road, leased to a bunch of rifle hunters. Right before bow season, all you cou...

Re: Bow Accident, What Next?
Ok, even with the local archery shop offering $650 on the dealer version of the Axe, when you consider sales tax that puts me just a hair over $700. I can order the same thing from Wyvern for $700 and get free shipping, 6 Dragon Claw arrows (instead of the 3 that come from the factory), and a packa...
