Re: forum what's wrong
This old, outdated, antiquated format needs to be dropped completely and a whole new format brought in. Until this happens, this will continue. I guess the "Powers that Be" want everyone to go somewhere else. Which in my opinion, is an absolute shame. A lot of the folks that were once on h...

Re: BIGGEST FAUX PAU On opening day
Yeppers, I climbed into a ladder stand one very cool winter morning and prepared to snipe a certain nice wide 10 that was constantly on camera right at daybreak. I settled into the seat IN THE DARK and prepared the mighty Excalibur to do its job. Being exceptionally quiet and stealthy, I might add!...

Re: BIGGEST FAUX PAU On opening day
Many years ago, not me, but "The Boss", was supposed to load her ride for a trip to see her parents, and me to go duck hunting. I gave her a list of things to pack for me. A short list at that! I get off work, she's there to meet me, I leave my truck in the parking facility at work. Off we...

Re: Best excalibur crossbow for big game hunting?
I have a couple of different Excals. I bought a 340 a while back. I find myself shooting it more than the others. Why? Cause it's just fun to shoot. It's easier to "rope cock" and easier to de-cock with the same rope. Accuracy is exceptional. Not matter what head I feed it. I haven'...

Re: Permit season, any luck?
For you guys looking to travel and have a great time y'all need to look at Texas. Lots of draw opportunities as well as private land hunts. Here's a few things you can find in Texas... Some of these Texas exotics include blackbuck antelope, axis deer, fallow deer, sika deer, mouflon sheep, Corsican ...

Re: Get your ducks in a row
I'll agree... NOW is the time to get things in order!! What's the old cliche', "He who hesitates is lost"? True. It's the end of July and it's been raining A LOT here. Not normal for Texas. Right-of-ways and trails are overgrown with weeds and brush. Last couple of days with rain permittin...

Re: scent control
I do on a fairly regular basis use ConQuest EverCalm's cover scent. It comes in a variety of "flavors" as well as scent pads you can use in your ThermoCell. I like this product. https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=915A68B021097158%218690&authkey=%21AF5GBfcl6qTrsXs&width=300&h...

Re: Permit season, any luck?
I got lucky after no success on an archery bull tag here in AZ. I used my legal exomax crossbow. Beast to use spot and stalk.sitting a blind or stand at a tank was useless. Mainly due to excessive atvs. Guides side-by-side etc.yrs past, maybe several a day but last yr it seemed like non stop from 3...

Re: Deer skin condition?
I've seen this a bunch of times. Usually has to do with shedding as Robert said.
Some shed quicker than others.
I've seen them walking around with huge patches of different colored hair. It's all about the shed.![Thumbup ](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)
