Re: Crossbows on 3D courses

It must be the same all over the world. In the UK a number of traditional long bow and recurve archers hate crossbow users with a passion and dislike compound users. They say both cause target damage and should be banned. Bear in mind we have a 300fps rule and have to cock the bow without using any ...

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

I agree, no point changing to a Bulldog if you already have a 380, it seems the Bulldog is no quicker. I do like the concept of the Bulldog, however, I am very interested to see what speeds Excalibur come back with from testing only one bow.

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

My Bulldog is shooting 384fps with a 350 grain, it is actually two fps slower than my M380. It is looking like the Bulldogs possibly are all are slower than advertised at around the 380fps mark. Unless anybody else has a faster bow?

Re: 405

I plan on putting my 405 through its paces as I also need to be convinced my bow in not a wall hanger due to recent quality issues.

Re: Danny Miller

I have dealt with Danny for maybe 17 years now and although we have never met I regard him as a friend. I think I was probably his first customer that he shipped to outside of the States and Canada. We have dealers over here in the UK that I could buy from, but even though it takes much longer to ge...

Re: Limb ratings.

I have been shooting Excalibur bows for a long time now and over the years have owned 16 bows and currently still own 9. On all of the old type bows I have owned every one of them shot the advertised speed almost exactly. The Matrix limbs seem to have a bit more tolerance and my 380 is about 7 fps d...

Re: 380 Chrono Test

Big John, I don't currently have any 18 inch bolts at the moment. However, I would be very interested in your test. Another thought I had was with the 20 inch bolt the FOC is past the the end of the rail and will be applying more pressure to the bolt retaining spring. I still think the bows are very...

Re: 380 Chrono Test

Just got some results from my Matrix 380. Shot through 2 chronographs, gold tip bolts, all 20 inch with factory string. 353 grain 374 FPS 389.5 grain 361 FPS 425 grain 349 FPS 591.5 grain 303 FPS It seems that my bow is similar to a couple of people on this thread, the independent test that was post...

Re: 380 Chrono Test

Swamp Donky
I have owned 11 or so Excalibur crossbows over the last 14 years or so and still own 7. The one thing I have learnt about Excalibur is they do exactly what they say on the tin. Great bows, best decision I ever made changing from compound crossbows to Excalibur's 14 years ago.

Re: 380 Chrono Test

Who said only $500 to $600 chronographs could be used? I only pointed out the frustrations I had with the F1 and said in my opinion the competition electronics chronograph was far easier to use. It also happens to be the same price, for me over here anyway. It was meant as constructive criticism so ...

Re: 380 Chrono Test

I have recently bought a F1 chrony to replace my competition electronics chronograph which is getting on now. However, I am going back to the competition electronics as it is so much more forgiving. My F1 gives inconsistent reading indoors with their own light kit, it is very light sensitive and pla...

Re: Reducing poundage on vixen 2

You could put lite limbs on, however, they would be black and you would probably only get around 110lb draw weight, possibly a bit more, my memory is starting to go. I use a Vixen 2 and a Phoenix for my NFAS but at my club some of the targets are not great so I have an old Vixen with lite limbs, it ...

Re: Relayer Y25's almost gone!

Just spoke to Dan Miller and he is keeping 7 of these bows for himself ( he must think they are a good investment). However, he said he has the following bows left: Right hand Numbers 182,183,287,289,293,294,297,515,524,661,683,684,688 Left hand Numbers 948,950,952,954,956 Once these are gone thats ...
