Re: Hockey talk

Great to see the Maple Leafs making a comeback! I'm a Pen's fan but it's good to see the Maple Leaf's back in the playoff's this year....and with the young talent years to come.

TruGlo Crossbow Reddot Original to Excal?

I just picked up an Excal Vortex with a black TruGlo crossbow scope. The previous owner claims this was a package on the original purchase. I no longer see red dots as an option on Excals but I did see a youtube video of Bill Trowbridge (SP?) hunting with one on his crossbow. Just wondering if this ...

Excalibur "Classic" Series??

Made ya look! I am wondering if there would be a market for an Excal Classic Series? This would be a throw back to the wide body models that made the Excal history. Maybe just one or two models for those out there who are not worried about speed & size and are more concerned about accuracy & r...

Re: Grizzly Tigger

So the fix is Excal will send all Grizzly owners Trigger Tech's? Never understood the pre-load fascination that some hunters have. Didn't TenPoint go thru this same issue? What ever happened to people buying a bow and using & shooting it how it was designed. People used to pre-load to get a better t...

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

Excal states 350gr at 400fps. If you go heavier it will be slower but if you are not hitting the numbers with the company specs it will only go down hill from there. You should get "close" to what you pay for! Why post any specs at all if there is no baseline.

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

Back in the day when Excal's were "bulletproof" these conversations rarely took place. We talked about which arrow/broadhead combination works best...which string to use before this obsession with speed! More speed more trouble! No one is ever satisfied. I do agree that if you pay for 400fps that is...

Re: Reflex/Hologram Sight on a Crossbow

A fellow I hunt with has been using one of these on his turkey shotgun rig for years with great success. Could just be the difference between brands. His is a Sightron and it done not give off any frontend glare. After hunting yesterday we tested it! Thanks for all the suggestions & input.....I've d...

Re: Excal Tact or Hawke Map 1.5 ?

I like the TactZone. I have two of them & they preform well. I have heard some owners complain of focus issue but I personally have not encountered that problem. I do believe the Hawke is less expensive so that may play into the decision as well. Try & take a look at both scopes and make your decisi...

Reflex/Hologram Sight on a Crossbow

Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these sights on their bow? I hunt area's where magnification is really not needed and I like the single point of aim! Any thoughts pro or con?
