Re: Being transparent
Don, How anyone can have the nerve to question what you are doing with the auction is beyond comprehension . That naysayer has no idea how caring and generous you(and Karin) truely are. I ca only assume that the fool speaks from ignorance. You should not even consider letting that type of comments a...

Re: Guide Gear Insulted rubber Boots
Best All rubber boots I've ever worn or seen are made by Baffin. I have the Trapper Model Come with removal liners and guarenteed to -40°. Very light weight, extremely durable, good tread and seem to last forever Lots of places carry them Here a link to one website: http://www.zappos.com/baffin-trap...

Re: Deer Hunting in a Blizzard??
Blizzards are a good time to hunt! Deer are hunkered down and usually bedded waiting out the storm and are fairly easy to stalk up on. The heavy falling snow and wind does a good job of masking most sound you would make.

Re: Deer Season is Over
Sounds like most everyone had a good season It was bust for me, never saw a shootable deer during hunting light. Deer herd near me has been reduced to next to nothing by wolves, hard winters and Michigan's 2 buck license. First time in many years I came up dry. It most likely take 3-5yrs before it r...

Re: Helping BooFest
I've skinned, cut up and cooked raccoons, and beaver every late fall for several years as I am a trapper. Also have ate groundhog, wood chuck, squirrels, snake and many other things. Some that would make a billy goat puke. BUT.... when you are far removed from any safe and civilized area, don't have...

Re: Helping BooFest
Raccoon is excellent eating, as well is smoked or BBQ'ed beaver hinds. Cooking a whole raccoon in the oven makes mighty fine eating. Smoked, then shredded and mixed with some BBQ sauce makee beaver hinds well worth eating.
