That’s what I’m thinking, as well. I contacted Excalibur, who have asked me to ship the bow to them for evaluation.

I shoot an Assassin 360 which has developed a problem and I wondered how common it might be. There are no other issues with the bow. It cranks fine, shoots great - all seems well. While I agree with the other poster that it could have been another hunter, I also will say that older bucks absolutely grunt louder and deeper than others.

I have heard mature bucks chasing does grunt so loud it startled me before.
