Re: Need bow for youth

Thanks all. I’m leaning towards the 308 but my son is 10 so I might have to be the one cocking it for him but that is ok for me. You can always add the butt stock extender to the 308 Short stock later on too. Or replace it with a regular Micro stock like Janesy said. Just have to drill an tap a cou...

Re: Need bow for youth

See if you can find a used vixen 2 or sapphire that would be my choices or the 308 also. The vixen would be the easiest to cock for a kid. Yep all 3 of those you mentioned are the only models I'm aware of that have a shorter LOP for a kid (other than the Assassin adjustable stock). 308 Short would ...

Re: Charger Crank

Mostly because of my physical limitations in not being able to decock by myself, I've figured out a unique and super safe way for me to adjust brace height. Even with the fail safe strap on the Charger EXT I can't control things well enough by myself. - Remove riser - Run stringing aide rope around ...

Re: Charger Crank

Yikes! So the spring for the clutch broke so that when you let go of the handle, instead of holding it freewheeled?

Re: Decock or shoot after hunt

Decock cause you gotta have your rope hooked up for the next time you hunt anyway. And because it's stupidly easy and safe to do.

Re: Does and young deer

My dad has a small piece of land near me that I hunt, it's near a few housing developments and hardly any other hunters, so there is an abundance of deer. It's where I shot the doe I posted the video of recently. She had 2 of this years fawns with her (spots went away a few weeks ago). Call me cruel...

Haha yeah that scope slicker dx isn't the prettiest thing but I find it much more functional than flip up scope caps. It even protects the tactacam.

327 Short Banshee

I put a Gen 1 Micro riser on it and gained 18-19 fps... So 327 Short Banshee is what I'll now call it. And the original riser will be going on the matrix rail I just got once I cut it down. And after hunting season is over possibly have someone do some Cerakote so the colors match again. Really happ...

Re: Bulldog 440 Limbs

Excalibur replaced the first set of limbs super fast for me so I hope they can do the same this second time around. The issue now is that my confidence in my equipment is shaken and it's challenging to hunt with that frame of mind. How is your limb fitment into the pockets? Do they lay down in the ...

First deer kill for my 308 Short

Played around with some more video editing apps and was able to get the slomo replay added at the end.

https://youtu.be/jOTTGdUGIbQ

She only went 50yds, 60 tops before expiring. Was using my primos trigger stick modified with a compact tripod on the bottom to hold steady.

Congratulations on your deer Tyler. And a great shot too.
Take care

Thanks, I was intending to wait for her head to be up, but forgot about that at the last second. She didn't budge until after the arrow was already through her anyway.

Dave at Wyvern can add a two clear coats of the rubberized soft touch finish during the off season. I have several stocks done with this finish which really appeals to my hands.
That's great to know, thanks for the info!
