Taxidermyone,

Nope.

That single piece of metal is supposed to hold the arrow in place. If it does not, just bend it slightly until it does so to your satisfaction, if that's what you're getting at.

Way to go guys.

Glad to hear you had a great hunt.

I saw a few of those animals hanging at the butcher's last weekend, and they are BIG. Aren't you happy you had help getting it out?

PS. Is Lonewolf's computer working yet?

Grouse,

My biggest was my first. 266 lbs and as sweet as sugar. He got me hooked on this consuming addiction. Can't stop. He had 9 points and scored only 108 but who cares. The steaks were out of this world. Can't stay. Gotta hunt.

Tomorrow morning should be about right. They have no idea where that shot came from. And some animals visit in the morning, others frequent at dusk. go for it.

Holy jumpin' that's a bad thing to do in a car. I'm glad to hear that no one was seriously hurt Grey Owl, thanks for the news that she's OK.

By the way, the bottle in pic#3 is NOT red wine, it says "Essential Minerals" on it. She may have been a vegetarian in need of protein....

Well done Shifty. Congratulations.

There's gotta be more to that story my friend. When you get the pics tell us the details. Did you call him in? Were you in bush or swamp? How far was the carry out? What part of God's country were you huntin' in? How did your buddies do, eh?

Way to go Carl!!!!! Sounds like you had to stick it out in pretty bad weather to get your reward. Good for you. Weather like that would have sent a lot of men home. Good perseverence you've got there Carl. Now, relax, tell the story to all who'll listen, and enjoy the steaks. Congratulations. Maple
