In Ontario where I live, everybody WANTS a crossbow. Who wants to hunt with a temperamental compound bow that's not user friendly? Not me. Don't think I've seen anyone hunting with a vert bow of any sort. Ever. And I've been in the country a lot. Actually, if anything, there seems to be a prejudice ...

Easy to tell why this is the best time of the year. Fresh air, excitement, understanding wife, exercise, fantastic colours, successful hunts, peacefulness, and a great story to boot.

Waaay better than Christmas.

Everybody has an important opinion........... My Bushnell trophy cam ($230) only takes pictures half of the time. I have hunted over it many times and have found it does not detect game well. Day or night. Tried all the sensitivity settings etc. The cheap Tascos ($80) are garbage. My Moultrie ($160)...

Just goes to show you never know where your next adventure will come from. Could be in the woods, could be at Boofest, could be in the airport. The two of you exchanging ideas about nature, hunting, gear, Boofest, and walri was a thrill for both, I'm sure. We must keep a protective eye open for that...
