I normally use strap on ladders but I have used my climber to install steps. I put my drill,an auger bit,and my steps in my backpack and climb to my desired hieght. Then I install the steps while standing in the climber on the way down. Much safer and easier because you can sit down and take a break...

There's no bad blood between us, we give each other trouble every chance we get. They just have one idea of what archery means. One was having trouble believing me about the group sizes I was getting @ 50 yards so I invited him over to do a little shooting. I offered him to go hang his high dollar w...

CHEATING?
A couple of my hunting buddies are whining about crossbows being legalized here in Louisiana. They say that I'm CHEATING b/c I'm not disabled. All of these guys have top of the line compounds,80% let off, fiber optic sights, etc. and they all drop those bows the minute gun season opens. I hunt with a ...

Sorry about that. I'm shooting an 08 Equinox w/STS,lumizone, GT ll's with brass inserts etc. Pretty much got everything that got good reviews on this forum. And might I say that you guys were right. Excalibur is a quality product and the accuracy is beyond my expectations. Just waiting on a Boo stri...

FOAM FILLING OPTION
I didn't like the idea of the liquid foam because I wanted to be able to remove it if needed. So I went to the hardware store and picked up some pipe insulation. There is a rubber type and a standard foam type. I figured the rubber type would have way more sound dampening value than the standard typ...

BRACE HEIGHT QUESTION
I recently ordered a Boo string [I think?] and in one of his e-mails he said his strings should be used just below the upper brace height mark. Is the upper brace height mark the one closest to the but of the stock or closest to the foot stirrup? The reason I'm asking is b/c I need to cut my STS to ...

Gold Tip Arrows
Can anyone tell me if the 10 point arrows are Goldtip laser 2's? I know they are made by them but can't find any specifics. Got a couple of gift certificates burning a hole in my pocket for cabelas and don't see the Goldtips listed. Also, anyone tried the CX maxima hunters?

BLOOD TRAIL DOG
I've been using Blackmouth cur dogs for a few years and have found ALOT of deer with them. Every one was tracking by 6 months old and none barked on dead game. The barking on dead game isn't a big deal to me b/c if she's barking on a track the deer is most likely still alive and she'll bay it up. If...

MAXIMA HUNTER CROSSBOLTS
I've had great success with maxima's on my vertical bows. I find they're very consistant and strong. It looks like they'll need a lot of weight up front to get a good FOC. Anyone tried these with their crossbows?
