Just as I've seen with every shot. And they do perform just as well on extreme angles(as advertised).
How did your blades look on the recovered arrow?

Re: What broadheads would you suggest for a Exocet 165
Shwackers are a solid choice for your setup. My brother in law and his entire family shoot them religously out of xbows much slower/lighter arrows and put them through deer lengthwise. Of course no matter what head you use it isn't guaranteed to pass through if it encounters enough bone or angles th...

Re: Can you use a Dropzone Scope on slug gun?
Best slug gun scopes out there for the money are: Variable- Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5x32 about $50-75 Guys on the Marlin 45-70/444 forums swear by them, and I have had them on 12ga slug guns with 3" Buckhammers and 2oz Turkey loads for years while most others just don't last long at all(Bushnell ...

Re: ran out of scope adjustment
Another option is to to go with a 30mm scope(How I fixed mine). They have a LOT more internal adjustment that should get you where you want to be without a shim. Twilight DLX and Hawke's. Both are great scopes for the money and on top of your HHA would give you best of both worlds with Multi line re...

Re: Buck's Still Rubbing???
This is probably also very true. Another theory/cause( independent of potential unbred doe(s) coming into heat possibly stimulating this behavior) of the sparring/rubbing is simply the possibility of the "stress" the mature bucks are feeling by the continual pressure of younger bucks tryin...

Re: Horton Dakota SL
PS..Dakota SL = 150#. Originally equipped w/swaged cables it shot in the 250fps range and once converted(upgraded)to the ICAD(synthic harness) system you would pick about 10-15fps which coincidentally put you at the same speed as the newer Horton 150# bows...BUT the Dakota SL was one of Horton's bes...

Re: Horton Dakota SL
Just passing on what I've learned to save some heartache. I've lived/grown up near Horton & Tenpoint(Hunter Mfg) all my life and have learned most of what I know about them from ex-employees. These are just a handful of the tips I picked up from the guys in the Suffield Pro-Shop/Range. I've been...

Re: Buck's Still Rubbing???

Re: ARRGGHH!! - I Finally did it...
I shot the bow through the chrono as it was and it ran an average of 329fps even with a stretched string/cables!! Shot at 50 yards with my current setting on scope @340fps and it punched right through the center... Disassembled it today, and looked it over really well . Other than the tips of the ca...

Re: Horton Dakota SL
I had one and it was a fantastic shooter(for a horton). It has the older style latch/claw and can safely be shot with flat knocks. If you want it to shoot fantastic here a couple things you should do. 1.If it has a scope mount(and you plan to use a scope) Eliminate the Dial a range by putting a scre...

Re: ARRGGHH!! - I Finally did it...
Are the cams specific to the buckmaster/paradox ? If they were used in other bear/jennings bows that could be a source for em . you could contact bear they may have some stashed or be able to check with their repair centers . Yes they are . They are zero let off and wider tracks for the thicker cab...

Re: ARRGGHH!! - I Finally did it...
Been shooting excals for many years, and shoot a LOT each year. Iv'e only had 1 other DF and it was a partial as the string slipped out of my hand about 2/3 through the stroke, An ADF woudn't have changed that one.. Yesterday, was point blank just dumb, and even though an ADF can't fix dumb, it prob...

ARRGGHH!! - I Finally did it...
Accidentally dryfired my Buckmaster yesterday while trying to chrono it in the garage. Ruined both cams & cables/string, but I've checked the limbs and they appear to be ok. I have a spare set of cables/string, but am need a set of replacement cams. Spoke with Danny and he doesn't have any right...

Most likely to retain the ability to utilize the 18" arrows without sticking beyond the stirrup..foofoo wrote:wonder why they went with a flat riser instead of shorter rail.
