Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
425-450 grns @ 300-350fps is what works best for me out of my bows.

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results
Speed is obviously everything to the prospective "Bulldog" customer or he would be looking at one of the other models, and hence the reason the market is driven by speed. Some want it to help overcome range estimation issues, and some want it, simply because they want the most they can get...

Re: About calling them bolts or arrows
The only time I've heard anyone call them "bolts" are guy's who just bought their first crossbow, and after they are corrected or laughed at once or twice they, get on-board pretty quickly..

Re: Bulldog 400 Review
Why cant they put an a + trigger on a high end bow like this when the competitors have tts already.Im sure even if it cost a little more we would pay it who wants to have to modify a new thousand +dollar bow With these kinds of weights( 200# +) It's Pretty tough to get any kind of "lasting&quo...

Re: Axiom vs Exomax advice
If you want a flatter trajectory, the Grizzly/330 wouldn't be worth your money/time. The ONLY value they have over the Max you are considering is literally 6" narrower. In fact you could put a string of the same material that Grizzly comes stock with and shoot the EXACT same speed with your cur...

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
Awesome! So there you have it folks...Why buy the $1k Crosman that you need a pump/tanks/compressor for, when you can already buy a 10/22 arrow gun for half the price & weight at the same speed without a need for a pump etc? Looks like they are standard Easton Aluminum arrows to so you shopuld b...

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
According to Crosman the arrow is 375gr and made by Victory. http://www.gameandfishmag.com/ata-show-2016/introducing-the-2016-crosman-pioneer-airbow/ ( I think it's funny Crosman markets it as "bow" and shys away from the term gun, however the guy in the video calls it a "airgun"...

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
Where is the assumption coming from that anyone would try to get one approved for archery only seasons? Is this because it uses an arrow(whichby definition is actually missile not an arrow as it has no nock and isn't propelled by a string) rather than a bullet??? I guess we all have our fantasies th...

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
By definition....It IS NOT a bow or an "Airbow". The name is no more accurate than the term "Arrow gun" is for crossbows. Disabled won't be able to use it in any "archery season" as it's a "firearm" by definition and unless I'm mistaken there aren't any state...

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
We can speculate in our closed circle of crossbow gurus who already by nature have an open mind to the inclusion of "arrow guns" into the archery only season. The division we have here alone in a VERY biased/receptive crowd would certainly not be the same among crowds of our fellow deer hu...

Re: Is This Really Archery Hunting?
Unless someone "redefines" the meaning of "Archery" I feel pretty comfy in saying NEVER Definition from Meriams Dictionary: Full Definition of archery 1 : the art, practice, or skill of shooting with bow and arrow 2 : an archer's weapons 3 : a body of archers Definition of bow 1 ...
