I will not eat a deer that has been left out in the woods over night or gut shot. I found it taste treble and it is not worth taking a chance getting my Friends and family sick. I will normally fill out the tag for the deer and leave it for the scavengers. normally the scavengers have already eaten ...

"how do you put a regular nock on the bolt so it goes into the fletcher, like for arrows" IF you are shooting bolts then you need not worry about fletchings. Bolts don't use fletchings. What we shoot from a crossbow is an arrow. we use the same vanes, same shafts same inserts the only diff...

I have tried the ribs and don't care for them. and they are a lot of work for not a lot of return and what you get isn't all that good table fare. Now when I butcher my deer I take the back strap, the hams, the mouse meat, the neck if it is big enough. I generally do not take the front shoulders as ...

I use WD-40 around the house and fire station all the time It works great at removing permanent marker from my ammo boxes. I will spray the inside of my gun cases to get rid of any moisture in it. For protection I like eezox but be careful it is a solvent as well and can take the camo finish off. I ...

I will say 100% of shot deer are found. They may not all be found by the hunter that shot them but they will be found by someone or something. In nature nothing is wasted if a hunter doesn't find a deer after it is shot that deer will be found by scavengers and eaten. This past early M.L. season I s...

if you do not trust them for big game you can always use them for small game and varmints. One shot and trash them. I normally carry a "disposable arrow" with me while hunting just for targets of opportunity. They are normally cheaper arrows such as the game getters with cheap B.H. If I sh...
