Congrats. I prefer turkey hunting over deer but have never used my bow. In Maryland there is no bow season so I always carry the 870 but may switch it up this spring.

I think he means thats a picture of the bow he purchased off ebay. $710 for a 405 is a steal. That's what I paid for my 380 but I made the mistake of buying before season.

I find it hard to believe a piece of rubber would be responsible for limb damage. I have been using them and never had a limb issue. Currently have some on my 380.

All the Matrix bows have the same width, 30.6" I think. Micros are 24.5" wide I believe.

I got some of the knock off on eBay. Figured for $12.99 for 3 I would try it. Big difference between the knockoff and real ones. I didn't see any of the crossbow version on Amazon for sale.

I would give him at minimum 6 hours. No reason to rush it. I have seen deer hit in the shoulder go 50 yards and some were never found.

I was in your situation and chose the 380. Not a micro but way smaller than my equinox.
