Re: Excaliburs survey

I took that survey the other day. I had a question about their nocks so I just got off the phone with the sales dept. After my question was answered, I mentioned the survey, and quoted a few of the posts from this thread. This was the first that sales rep. had heard about any survey, or any ideas ab...

Rhino vs Beacon weights

Hi folks, I have a Mag 340 and am interested in 18" Pro flights with 150 grain Bolt cutters/ field points. I'm considering getting a 6 pack with Rhino nocks and a 3 pack with Beacons for hunting. What difference can I expect because of the different weight nocks? And if it would be better to ad...

Re: Arrow length for hunting - state regs

Thanks CT.HNTR,

Is there a drop in speed with 18's?

The annoying part for me is that I purchased 2 (6-packs) of 16.5 inchers before I saw that regulation.

Re: Arrow length for hunting - state regs

Thanks DuckHunt. I think I'll pass this along to the state official, then hold my breath while they re-evaluate that law.

Arrow length for hunting - state regs

I'm new to crossbows. My Mag 340 came with 16.5 " bolts. I see on the Excalibur website that of the 10 crossbows offered, 9 come with 16.5 inchers. But the State of CT requires 18 inch for hunting. I emailed them, and after mentioning what I found on the Excalibur website, I asked them to pleas...

Re: What Colors Can Deer See?

A good read. But from looking at the color chart, I'm not sure I agree with the statement made later, that blaze orange breakup is better than solid blaze. It looks to me from the color chart that orange and black both look black to deer. From the chart, it looks like blaze broken up with yellow wou...

Re: Feeling old....

I am done dragging deer. I use to drag em up steep canyons across creeks etc… now I just bone em out where they lie and carry out boned meat. If they die in a bad spot I do drag em to a open spot close by. Plenty of utube videos out there how to do it. This way too I know the animals will clean up ...

Re: Vane color

I just set a white one and one of the greens that came with the bow out in the woods, and to my eyes the green is much more easily noticed. I'm really not a fan of unannounced substitutions in my orders. I'm thinking of dropping the seller a note.

Vane color

Hi Folks.
Brand new to crossbows, just picked up the Micro Mag 340. I ordered some vanes recently. The pictures showed a light green vane, but they came with white. I don't think it'll make that much difference, but what color do you folks prefer for hunting.
