R Bell's success with Excaliber 340

I got a deer again this year on November 01 – with my new Excalibur 340 x-bow – not the rifle. Not a real big one (dressed out at 130 pounds) – but it has very nicely filled up our freezer. Went into the bush at 06:00h in the dark (legal shooting time 07:30h) and put out some doe scent. I usually hu...

Re: happiness is owning a MAG 340!

Thanks for that little tip - will do so before I go out and practice some more. I've cut down my old 2219's and am waiting for the new nocks to come into the store and then I can fletch 12 of them with 2" vanes - then go practice - practice - practice!! lol

happiness is owning a MAG 340!

Just got back in from sighting in my new MAG340. WHAT A FANTASTIC LITTLE XBOW! SO QUIET, DEADLY ACCURATE, SMOOTH and ABSOLUTELY NO VIBRATION (unlike my old 30 year old compound xbow, which is 3 pounds heavier and much, much noisier). I had somewhat sighted it IN using a laser level in the basement (...

Re: mag 340 & 2219 arrows

Thanks to both Boo & Normous for your (immediate) input. Think I will try 18" with the 2"vanes that have an offset. I use mechanical broadheads. Will let you know how they turn out once spring time comes. Once again - thanks!

mag 340 & 2219 arrows

Hi - I am new to the forum and Excalibur. Bought a new mag340 and 6 factory arrows (and am now anxiously waiting for the spring time to take it out and get it all set up). I used to use another brand of crossbow (compound) that uses 2219 arrows, had a speed of around 300fps, used a capture nock, 4&q...
