Why increase the price of your hunt???? Just park your truck where ya think the game will be. If your hunting Bear, then you might like a blind, but other wildlife dont give a hoot if your in a truck or blind. Deer, Moose, and Elk basically dont mind. Bear, Turkey, and fox are most critical of anyth...

My land. They eat my apples peaches and pares. The deer owe me at least the opportunity to stick an arrow into one or three. They eat my garden, and crap all over my lawn all summer. They get in front of my truck. I dont believe it really matters. As long as its silent death, and they get eaten, its...

If ya think crossbows are quck ?????
Crossbows are definately quick. Then again, alot of those underwater hunters are just as quick as us air hunters. Has anyone tried the spear fishermans dart??? I dont wish to discourage the crossbow, but perhaps the dart of the spearfisherman may be quicker, and more likely to bring in the kill. Cro...

Is this cheatin??????
I have had great success with parking a vehicle near where the deer graze. Once the vehicle is parked for a few days, the deer seem to ignore it. I roll the windows down, cock my crossbow when I see a dinner aproach, then place the bolt. Is this cheating the potential meal from my table???? I really...

The only Blackpowder rifle I have is my Great Grandads 75 calubure Sharps. I think it came across in the early 1800's' The originial statement is true----If you can see it, you can kill it. That was the advertisement on the piece of paper in the wooden box. It has a peep site rear view with windage ...

My father (in his younger days) hunted deer with a 40lb pull wooden longbow. He brought in meat every year. Often in the summer when we needed food. Guess he didnt know any better. When I brought home a 125lb Compound longbow, he liked that alot, yet still used his old wooden verticle. When I brough...

Theres no need to have a hair trigger on a crossbow. You have time. Come to think of it, you have time to kill. (Pardon the pun) Hunting with a crossbow takes lots of time. You wait for that perfect shot, then watch your bolt fly through the air. Oftentimes it misses where you wish exactly, yet it i...

First Bear legall in Webster county
My xStepdaughter of 12 years of age bagged the first legal bear in Webster county West Virginia this season. I was kinda proud of her till I heard of the dogs, the radio collars on the dogs, and the vehicles they used to get to the bear. When I first heard the news, I was right proud. When I learned...

My woodstove keeps me toasty. Love the free heat. If ya gather wood one hour a week, you should be warm all winter. I use the big ole knotty parts of Hickory, Oak, Maple, for those very cold nights. The knotty parts burn for a long time. Ash burns clean and leaves few ashes. The others ----- well, w...

Barnett sold me the same prod you have. It was used to replace the broken prod in my old originial Wildcat. 150lb. pull---kind of slow by todays xbows, but still brings me meat. Good for about 25 feet, but still takes one to disable a deer, and another shot to end it without hearing it bawl and watc...
