Drawing/Shooting in the presence of game Ah, here's the rub. This is where most arguements take off. Let's agree to talk though our differences. I disagree that its a slight advantage. I (and probably you, in your vertical bow days) have been flat busted numerous times drawing my bow. It is the dam...

Butt your not the only one having turkey troubles this year. I have yet to fill my first tag. I have had them respond to my calling and come on the run, but they hang up most of the time. The few times I have had them come in close enough, I had my bow in my hands and could not get a shot. On Friday...

Woody I have tested spitfires with the netting but nothing else. What I would be concerned about would be the arresters (if you are using them) getting hung-up in the netting. If you decide to try it, please let me know if there are any problems. In my blind when hunting turkeys, I just leave certai...

You have to keep things in perpective. These guys are making millions of dollars playing a game. A game! I agree that the owners are partly to blame, but they have been waiting for the new CBA so they can take action against the outrageous salaries that were sure to keep going up and up. . Herbinat...

Digger they say fits 20/64 or 21/64 shafts  I hope they will work on 2216 I put one on and it seems to fit nice and snug, will still slide upon impact.. Sliver usually they are very size spicific. But the tighter on the shaft the better, unless your using carbons which I believe will be scra...

Do we Canadians miss hockey. Well there is still alot of great hockey. There is Junior and Minor hockey which is fabulous. The NHL game has changed to much to represent the true game any more. The other games are much better (more heart, energy and commetment). As for blaming the players, that is si...

Mike I hope this will help you some. First thing is to stay on the ground. Turkeys watch up alot. I have seen turkeys scatter quickly only because a large bird was flying overhead (in fields and in woods above the trees). Next is to get good camo and if possible use ground blinds, like existing bush...

I would say by looking at the picture that it DOES NOT have the orginal stock. Every Astro Daco that I have seen (and have seen alot, family started with them before Excalibur started) had laminated stock and was very delicate around the grip with a knife edge on the bottom of the stock. If your int...

Zeke any head (that acheves great accuracy) combined with an arrow arrester of some kind will do the job for turkeys. I agree with Comfy Bear with the opening of these heads. It looks like there is at least 3 inches of penertration before they open fully. with large animals like deer, moose or hogs ...

What size does a person need to order for 22 series arrows? For the 22 series arrows you would need 22/64 dia and for the 21 series arrows (2117) you would need 21/64 dia. huntin freak I tried to order them at Eders but they told me they would not ship into Canada. I had not found Jessie's Store wi...

I chose Misc because I think to be fair this event could be moved from year to year to cover different areas on the map. This idea of moving to different clubs, with media, more and more people could be educated in crossbows and their true ability. The draw back to moving it around is all the work i...

Digger, Where can a person buy those arrestors? I searched all over for them and can't find them anywhere. Captain I am not digger but I have been looking for them to restock my supply. I have not been able to find them in Ontario to fit my 2117 arrows. Archers Nook has the ones for the 2216 listed...
