I believe the Grass Hopper is a fixed arrow arrester which attaches behind your hunting head. They will work, but I personally find that they can dammage (bruse, and cut) the bird. They are still better than nothing at all, but I prefur scropio's from Zwicky. Gagnon's has not carried them for about ...

No need for a lawyer. Better off using the resources of the 2 organizations above. These two organizations have done wonderful work in opening up hunting to the disabled. They have been fighting for quite awhile and they see NY as a stubborn State and have requested as many people as they can get t...

IF there is more then the outer layer of the bark cut, the tree will die. What I call the cork which is under the regular birch bark should be left on the tree. I have see trees that were cut over 20 years ago and still alive. Most people that harvest some birch bark, do it in an out of the way plac...

I hunt from a older summit climber, believe it's called a shooter. It has the bar all the way around me, like the new viper. I have a pair of gun holders mounted on the bar, they hold a rifle or my crossbow great. Leaves my hands free, yet bow is easy to get into position. They are called pack rack...

.... I was wondering if there was any real advantage and what the drawbacks of mechanicals are (if any). ........ If a mechanical hits a heavy bone, is it stopped or are blades sheared off lessening it's effectiveness? How far into the animal does it usually open up? I'm just wondering if simpler m...

Thanks guys.

Does it hinder or make your breathing any more difficult. I guess what I am asking is, breathing through this mask, does it slow your breathing ability.

Thanks again.

Spitfires are a good head. They are accurate, strong and with their practice blade setup, they hit exactly the same as the hunting heads. My dad had a head strike the backbone, fully penertrating with no broken blades (they did get bent, but did not break). There downfall to me is their price, but I...

Butt ........ any head would do. The trick is in stopping the pass-throughs. I found that Zwicky Scropios work really well. These slide up the shaft and stop the arrow in the bird (might scratch carbons). The fixed blade arresters have a tendency to dammage some of the meat in the bird. Hope this he...

Polar wrap ?

Has anyone tried this. Here is the website.

I am very interested in knowing if someone has used it and if it really works. Also if your breathing is restricted in any way (it isn't suspose to restrict but help).

Thanks again.

Turkey pics.

I think my seasons are in reverse. When I go turkey hunting, I get run over by deer. When I go deer hunting, I have turkeys almost sitting in my lap. I had 17 turkeys come within 14 yards of me, most were within 10 yards. What a rush having soooooo many eyes checking them out without spooking them. ...

The only thing you cannot bait in Ont...is migratory birds....deer, go for it...we sell tonnes of feed every fall to the local hunters. :D The above statement is only partly correct. You would have to add TURKEYS in with migratory birds which cannot be baited. That would be MIGRATORY BIRDS AND TURK...
