Howdy Neighbor..I did the same thing last week with my Phoenix.It's the first and hopefully last time I do it. I got lucky,no damage to my set up,it still shoots great !!!

I use the 100 gr Montec by G5.They shoot the same as my field tips,and the 3 deer I have taken with them never made it further than 50 yards from where they were hit.

I tried a hip quiver,but I lost,and found my arrows while walking in thick brush. I just made a quiver out of an old map cylinder.I attached a nylon sling,and put foam in the bottom for the broadheads to rest on.I'll let you know how it works the fall...Oh yea,I painted it black....

I wish you luck with your quest.We have just received full inclusion here in Michigan. I hunted moose in Newfoundland in 2007,and would love to go back with my crossbow.

I shoot Firebolts with 100 grain G 5 Montec....they fly true and same impact point as field tips.

Most cities in the US have some sort of ordinance against discharging an air gun or even shooting a bow.Contact the local police dept.They can advise you on their local laws.
